As Government of Maharashtra Higher & Technical Education Department Resolution No. NGC 2009/(243/09)-UNI-1 Dated 12th August 2009, 1. Government Resolution, Higher and Technical Education Department No. NGC-1298[4619]/uni.4, dated11th December 1999 and 2. Government of India, MHRD Letter No. 1-32/2006-U.II/U. I(i) dated 31st December, 2008 the Revision of pay Scales of Teachers and equivalent cadres in Higher Education as per UGC Scheme (6th Pay commission) Universities, Affiliated Colleges, Government Colleges/ Institutes of Science etc. the pay scales as contained in the said letter, and regulations to be framed by the UGC in this behalf.
Government of India has mentioned in th said letters that scheme may be extended to Universities, colleges andother higher educational institutions coming under the purview of State Legislatures, provided State Governments wish to adopt and implement the scheme. It has further been clarified by the Government of India that payment ofcentral assistance for implementing this scheme is subject to the condition that the entire scheme of revision of payscales together with all the conditions etc. shall be implemented by the State Governments as a composite schemewithout any modification etc.
